Leitz SIRIO SX – The new standard in cost effectiveness.

The new Leitz SIRIO SX is writing the next episode of the Leitz SIRIO success story. This measuring robot has proved itself over decades, particularly in quality assurance of powertrain components on the shop floor. Equipped with an automatic probe changer, rotary table and pallet system, the Leitz SIRIO is capable of solving an almost unlimited number of measuring tasks.

Hexagon Metrology is now ringing in the new feature-rich Leitz SIRIO SX generation. The bells are also sounding out for the new PrimeTechnologies from premium brand name Leitz – innovation packages to ensure that the Leitz SIRIO is quicker, more accurate and more robust than ever before. For higher throughput on your production lines and maximum cost effectiveness.
The new Leitz SIRIO SX will be in full production and available from April 2011.

PrimeTherm Technology
With PrimeTherm Technology, the Leitz SIRIO SX is thermally stable. PrimeTherm is based on a number of different innovations. The first is the machine body of the Leitz SIRIO SX, which is made from a special temperature-stable material. Secondly a medium is pumped through the machine body to even out the internal temperatures. Thanks to PrimeTherm Technology, you can dispense with a climate control system within a temperature range of 15 to 40 degrees Celsius – and save costs.

PrimeScan Technology
The new PrimeScan Technology will be making its début with the new PrimeScan sensor, which is available only on the Leitz SIRIO SX. The measurement head provides highly accurate measurements with excellent Leitz High-Speed-Scanning performance. PrimeScan Technology offers new features for safe measuring and ease of handling of the measurement heads, while leaving no opportunity for operating errors or incorrect measurements.

PrimeCare Technology
Safety benefits higher availability of your measuring machine and low maintenance costs. PrimeCare Technology takes good care of your Leitz SIRIO SX and the cost effectiveness of your quality assurance. Crashes of any kind are best avoided. That's exactly what the collision-avoiding axes of the Leitz SIRIO SX successfully ensure. The measuring system detects any higher forces that exceed the set acceleration values. The axes take avoiding action immediately and come to an emergency stop, thus effectively preventing damage to the measurement head. More features are part of PrimeCare Technology.
